Next up, it's time to solder on the #3 slide retainer rod assembly. I've decided to reverse its configuration and style it after the early NY Bach configuration.
No fancy solder jig holder here - some times you have to use wire. The parts are aligned, then soldered into place. Note how I have pulled the slide out a little bit. You wouldn't want acid to run into the slide and end up soldering the slide into place!
I'm getting ready for tomorrow by testing the fit of the spacer brace I'll be using for the lower tuning slide receiver tube. Lights out. That's all for this evening!
